Frustration

It’s not that I didn’t take any pictures the last few weeks, it’s just that I don’t seem to like any of them… Am I to critical? Have I lost my “enthusiasm” temporarily? Do I try to hard? …?

Don’t know what it is, but I find it rather frustrating. Does any one of you recognise this? Any ideas on how to get back on track?

I’d appreciate any feedback you’re willing to give.

  1. I am not a photographer, but I am a writer (an artist). I understand how you feel. Sometimes things just don’t seem to click. We are our own worst critic. It’s true! Just keep doing what you’re doing and try to ease up on yourself a little bit. This situation may be calling you to look at your work with new eyes, with compassion, and to pick out the things that you do love about it. We just get better and better in our craft, but we have to appreciate all the shots and all the works of art that we do produce. Even the ones that don’t seem like an A+ in our book.

  2. Kris,

As you discovered my blog I discovered yours! Really great shots! I am just a hobbyist and recently felt this (what I call) so called slump. For myself the winter months can be a bit boring (cold) – not feeling it – but it does come back. Just keep shooting and have fun!
